That Mom

So I realized today while at Mitch's flag football game....that I will probably be that mom in the stands yelling at the refs and fans for any bad call made against my boys team. This is one of the reasons I do not like to go to these games. I found myself biting my tongue while fans trash talked my hubby's team! Luckily I was not there the whole game (since Lawson did not want to sit still) so I only heard the end of their blabbing on and on about how one sided the game was.
Brought back memories of the day when I went to every one of Mitch's games and would have to bite my tongue (but sometimes not biting it hard enough) to not say anything .
I really hope that I am not going to be one of those mom's that is screaming at the ref for bad calls made on my boy! But I just can't promise that!

Love This Weather!!

We really enjoyed the weather this past weekend. It was so nice to be able to get outside for a change and take a stroll around the neighborhood. But from what I hear...the cold weather is on it's way back to us! Glad we enjoyed it while we could! So ready for spring to be here....

Lawson is 5 months old today!

My baby is 5 months old today! Where does the time go...and I know it just is going to keep on slipping by! I am SO thankful I am able to stay at home and enjoy all these wonderful moments!! Lawson is such a good baby! I am so lucky for him to be my first! He is laid back and never cries unless he is tired or hungry! He is sleeping wonderfully through the night (knock on wood) and is developing so much! We are introducing baby food slowly into his diet. He loves sweet potatoes and carrots. He tolerated green beans the other day...and loves any type of fruit! I just purchased him a high chair last week and he loves to sit in it! We have tried to make a habit (for about a week) to eat at the kitchen table for dinner and he sits there with us playing with his toys. Before we used to sit in the living room (awful habit) and we thought he might like being able to sit there with us. He sits in his chair while I cook dinner and he seems entertained by it! Lucky for me!!

Lawson has really started grabbing at things. He had been but now when you change his diaper, feed him, get near him, he is trying to grab your arm, shirt, anything he can get his hands on. He keeps himself entertained by talking to himself, squealing at his toys and holding his feet. He loves colors and anything that makes music! And he loves his jumperoo. He can't quite touch the ground but he loves the music and has figured out if he slams his arm down it will make animal noises.

Everyday I thank God for this beautiful baby He has given to us! Every day gets better and better!
Happy 5 months to my sweet boy!!!

Happy Boy!!

Lawson is loving his jumperoo that his Nonna and Granddeddy got him for Christmas. Although he not quite touch the floor (unless he leans to one side) he loves the music it play and the animal noises! We love to watch him play in this!!

One Year Ago....

One year ago today, we were able to get our first picture of Lawson. We went to the doctor and they did Lawson's first ultrasound. I was so nervous because I just wanted for everything to be okay. We had tried for so long that all I wanted to see was a heartbeat! After waiting what seemed like an hour in the waiting room....the nurse brought us back. And then we got to see our baby for the first time! His heartbeat was strong and he was about the size of a grain of rice. How beautiful he was!!!

Now one year later...our little boy is here and almost 5 months old. How lucky we are to have him! It is amazing what just one year can do! This time last year I was so exhausted and tired all the time from the pregnancy and now I am lucky enough to be tired and exhausted from our Lawson! I know I say this alot...but what a miracle God has given us! God is so good!
Lawson's first picture...definitely love at first sight!
